Originally from West Yorkshire, I moved to East Yorkshire a few years ago, and began working for East Yorkshire Joinery Ltd as a bench joiner, making a wide range of joinery products.

I then decided that I needed a bigger challenge and, along with my wife Kay, set up our own business, which has gone from strength to strength in the past couple of years.

I have maintained a very close working relationship with Richard at East Yorkshire Joinery. They manufacture my large scale joinery products, and I have always been very satisfied with the work.

I find the company very easy to work with, a relaxed and friendly working relationship is essential in business.

I have become one of the company’s preferred fitters, and pride myself on the fact that Richard can be assured of my skill whenever he recommends me to one of his clients.

I have known Richard for many years, and over the past 8 years since East Yorkshire Joinery Ltd started trading I have purchased many bespoke joinery products from him.

I often need to have bespoke items made that require technical procedures, and between Richard and myself, and his excellent team we always get the required end result.

I have been impressed with the Joinery Soft Computer system that Richard installed 2 years ago, and have confidence in the Specifications and Quotations that he prepares for me. I can also come into the office and change specifications in a matter of minutes and get a full printout showing the changes. This gives the client a much better idea of costs using different types and grades of timber. The drawings are precise yet easy to understand for clients.

My son has now joined the family firm, and is well into his joinery apprenticeship. At one point he worked for East Yorkshire Joinery, this means that he too has an excellent working relationship with all the team.
